Pledge Campaign 2027

What is a pledge?

A pledge is an offering to God and a commitment to give one’s time, talents, and money as an expression of faith and a personal response to God’s generosity. Members of St. Barnabas are encouraged to make an annual stewardship pledge. This pledge represents their specific Christian commitment to “work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God” (BCP, p. 856). Our church’s annual budget is prepared in light of the pledges received from the members. A pledge is a statement of intent, not a legal obligation. It can be changed at any time.

Why do we pledge?

At St. Barnabas, we rely on contributions and offerings through pledges like yours as our primary source of income. St. Barnabas, like all Episcopal Churches, does not receive monetary support from the national church or the diocese; we entirely an entirely self-funded parish. Our finance committee and vestry relies on pledge totals to build a realistic annual operating budget. Your contributions ensure the church can confidently pay clergy and staff salaries, maintain our building and grounds facilities, and support our ministries.

Other Donations

Donations to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church are vital to our mission and support our staff, ministries, building and grounds. In addition to the PayPal donation button above, we also use Zeffy to manage our donations. Zeffy is a free donation platform but as part of the donation process, it will ask you to add 17% of your donation as a fee. That fee goes to support Zeffy and will not go to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. If you would rather not pay this fee, once you have filled out your donation information, and before you complete your payment, there will be an explanation of this fee. Click on the drop down menu, choose “other” and enter zero “0” in the contribution field. Then proceed by choosing your payment method to complete your donation.
